Welcome!

Welcome to the Parish of Elmdon. We are part of the Church of England, located in Solihull in England’s West Midlands, between the town centre and Birmingham International Airport. (Where we are…)

We have three centres of worship – St. Nicholas, the parish church, is located in the centre of Elmdon Park, while St. Stephen’s Church Centre and Valley Church Centre are multi-purpose community buildings in the residential areas at either end of the parish. (More about us…)

There is another St. Nicholas, Elmdon, in Essex. If you were looking for them, rather than ourselves, they also have a web site.

Back to Church Sunday, 26th September 2010

Have you thought about those you would like to accompany you to a service on Sunday 26th September? Invitation/Prayer Cards are now available.

Services will be held at the normal time at St Nicholas, St Stephen’s and Valley. Do you know of people who used to worship here but for one reason or another no longer do so? Perhaps they want to come back but feel unsure of the welcome they would receive. The aim of B2CS is to make it easier for people to cross the threshold because they are coming with someone they know. The success of this venture depends on members of the congregation bringing people with them. Further information and invitation cards will be available soon. Paul.

Christianity Explored

A series of sessions exploring Christianity (similar to the Y Course but looking at St Mark’s Gospel) is being arranged for the autumn. It is planned to hold evening sessions in the Wilberforce Hall on Tuesdays 7.30 for 8pm start and finishing at 9.30pm. We are also running day time sessions on a Thursday morning 9.45 am to 11.30am at 127, Damson Lane. There will be ten sessions starting on Tuesday 5th October or Thursday 7th October.

This course is an excellent opportunity for people to explore the basics of Christianity or who simply want to know more.

If you are interested please have a word with Paul Carter, Rob Dean or Richard Huss. Are there people you know who would be interested or would find this exploration helpful on their spiritual journey? Invitation cards are now available.
