Another “Sponsor a Hymn” event, to raise funds to support our CMS Link Missionaries, will take place at St. Nicholas on Sunday, 27th June, from 3.00 to 4.45pm. £1 per hymn minimum sponsorship. If you wish to sponsor a hymn, please submit a form with your choice (and donation!) at St Nicholas or the Church Centres by the 13th June!

There will be a cake sale after the Parish Communion service on Advent Sunday, 30^th November to raise money towards the support of our CMS Link Mission Partners, David and Dawn Curran. To date nearly £800 has been raised or donated towards the £1,000 (minimum) which the Church has promised for 2008.  Gift Aid envelopes are available for those who wish to make donations specifically for CMS.

We invite you to come and meet our new CMS Link Mission Partners, David and Dawn Curran and their children Faye and Siân at the Rectory, Tanhouse Farm Road on Saturday 23rd August (or at Valley Church Centre if it is raining).

This will be an informal gathering starting at 3.30pm and will include a bring and share tea starting at 4pm. The evening will finish at about 7pm. Do come and join us for all or part of the time. There is no charge but there will be an opportunity to make gifts towards the support of our mission partners if you wish.

It will help with catering if you could sign one of the lists indicating you intend to attend. It would also be helpful if you could bring your own garden chair!

We will be holding another Sponsor a Hymn event (see details of last year’s) to support our CMS Link Mission Partners at St. Nicholas on Sunday 22nd June from 3.00 to 4.45pm. If you would like to nominate a hymn to be sung forms are available at all three centres of worship (£1 per hymn minimum sponsorship) and need to be returned by Sunday 8th June. There will also be an opportunity to donate during the hymn sing itself.
